Press trip to Rwanda

A five person big group of journalists, a photographer and bloggers had the pleasure to #VisitRwanda on a press trip through the country in the beginning of November. In cooperation with RwandAir Rwanda Development Board invited the journalists to visit the beautiful country in East-Africa.

The tour through the country included a visit to the Genozid Museum in Kigali, a Game Drive in Akagera Nationalpark with sighting of a lion family. An overnight stay in the newly opened Wilderness Safaris Magashi Camp located directly at Lake Rwanyakazinga, where you fall asleep to the sound of the hippos.

A trek to the Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Nationalpark and of course chimpanzee trekking was also part of the program in Nyungwe. The group spend to nights in Kamembe at Lake Kivu directly on the border to DR Congo. Especially for the photographer the early morning views on the lake was a treat.

On the way towards Volcanoes Nationalpark we stopped at the Rushel lodge located next to a coffee plantation between Karongi and Rubavu another beautiful location at Lake Kivu.

The highlight of the tour was of course the gorilla trekking in Volcanoes Nationalpark, a once in a lifetime experience. To enjoy the fantastic views of the volcanoes we drove to the Virunga Lodge for the sunset view of the volcanoes and the beautiful Twin Lakes. The last trekking activity was a Golden Monkey trekking, another amazing experience to see these endemic primates so close by.

The last activity was canoeing on the Mukungwa River another great activity to watch birds and just enjoy the lush countryside.

Tour operator famtrip to Rwanda

Five German luxury tour operators were invited to #VisitRwanda on a 10-day long trip through the country. The group flew from Brussels to Kigali on the RwandAir flight and arrived early in the morning in Kigali. The tour included a game drive in Akagera Nationalpark, trekkings in Nyungwe Nationalpark and of course the highlight a gorilla trekking in Volcanoes Nationalpark.

The tour operators also visited various hotels on their tour through Rwanda.

Famtrip Heritage Resorts, Mauritius

Heritage Resorts invited six German tour operators to visit Heritage Bel Ombre. They experienced the full range of activities offered in the beautiful authentic South of Mauritius.  

The activities included a day on the sea on a speedboat cruising the South-West coast and the bay of Tamarin. 4x4 drive in the Heritage Nature Reserve including a fantastic picnic at the river, wine tasting in Heritage Le Chateau, quad biking in the nature reserve, Stand-Up paddling with the team of Kite Globing and of course testing of the various restaurants Heritage Bel Ombre has to offer.

In between there was also time to enjoy a spa treatment in Seven Colours Spa, chill on the beach in the new designed  or simply enjoy the spacious rooms in Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort.

Nobu Hotel Miami Beach at travel imprssions event in Zurich

On the 05th June we had been at the Travel Impressions roadshow for our luxury LHW hotel Nobu Miami Beach meeting luxury trade and MICE partners.

We're excited to share that Hard Rock All-Inclusive Hotels won World's Leading Entertainment Resort Brand 2017 at the World Travel Award's Grand Final Gala Ceremony which was held at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay on December 10.

          

Veranda & Heritage Travel Agent Famtrip

In December 2017 Veranda & Heritage Resorts in cooperation with Air Mauritius invited 8 top travel agents on a trip to Mauritius to experience our resorts and the multiple activities both VLH brands has to offer. First visit on the program was the charming and newly renovated Adults Only boutique Hotel Veranda Paul & Virginie, after the long flight and the transfer, we enjoyed the breakfast and the neck and shoulder massage in the Seven Colour Spa of the hotel.

After a shower we drove along the northern coastal road through Grand Baie to Pointe aux Pixments for a site inspection and cooking session in Veranda Pointe aux Biches – We were welcomed by a sega dance group and even had the possibility to join the dancing. After the self-cooked lunch it was time to go back for a few hours rest and enjoying the sun and the pools in Veranda Paul & Virginie and then get ready for dinner.

The second day we spend the full day on the Veranda Catamaran cruising in the lagoon, snorkelling, having a nice BBQ on the boat and then spending a few hours on a lonely island.

Late in afternoon we returned to the hotel where our transfer was already waiting to take us to our next stop Veranda Grand Baie. We arrived in time for second sega lesson and to enjoy the beautiful sunset. In the evening we had a really nice dinner on the beach with rum tasting and later we had a look at the night life in Grand Baie. 

The next morning our trip continued, we crossed the island and drove to the east coast for a cocktail session and site inspection in our small All-Inclusive hotel Veranda Palmar Beach Resort. Located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island Belle Mare Plage.After a light snack we drove to the south, stopping at the sacred lake before reaching the domaine Heritage Bel Ombre, where we checked in the newly renovated 5* plus resort Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort. We enjoyed a very nice lunch in the newly build beach restaurant and then we had a breathing session in the Wellness Pavilion, a very special experience.

 In the evening we visited the Heritage Chateau Bel Ombre, where we enjoyed the exquisite cuisine and the fantastic service in this very special setting. Later we had a late night drink in Heritage Awali and enjoyed the very special atmosphere in this African style hotel.

After breakfast it was time to get on the quads in the Heritage nature reserve for a two hour safari to watch the wildlife, the nature and the waterfall. Amazing tour and everybody were surprised to see the size of the domaine . In the afternoon the participants had chosen different activities, golf and stand up paddling and everyone enjoyed themselves. 

On the last evening we enjoyed a very special meal in the GinJa restaurant on the beach. What a great way to round up a fantastic and intensive trip.

Famtrip to The Islands of Tahiti 27.11. - 05.12.2017

In cooperation with Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourisme invited 8 tour operators to The Islands of Tahiti. During our stay we experienced the islands of Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea, Bora Bora and Rangiroa.

During the 8 days we had a perfect combination of site inspections and excursions. We get to know the different types of accommodation, the uniqueness of the destination and its islands lifestyle.

With a group of 10 ladies we take a lot of pictures, below a few impressions.

Welcoming in Tahiti

Gambia Fam Trip 25.-29.09.2017

In cooperation with various partners we invited 8 tour operators to the smiling coast of Africa: The Gambia. During our one week stay we experienced the remarkable hospitality of the Gamians, saw the beauty of the green season and tasted delicacies of the West African cuisine. Our  participants also had th ehonour to dine with Hon. Hamat N.K. Bah, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Abdoulie Hydara, director general of GTBoard and other high level personalities in The Gambia.

We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Brussels Airlines, Djembe Beach Hotel, Balafon Beach Resort and the incoming agencies Afrrican Adventure Tours, Discovery Tours, Gambia Tours and West African Tours for their support with this fam trip. A big thank you also to our extensively knowledgable guide Mamou. Moreover we thank all other partners that contributed to this unforgettable stay.
